Buam Galbi

Gyeong Myeonok

Opened in 1947, Gyeong Myeonok is a family-owned restaurant mainly serving diners with Pyongyang-style naengmyeon (cold noodles). Their various cold noodle dishes are incredibly tasty and appetizing as the noodles are chewy and the soup is sweet and refreshing. Cold noodles are particularly suitable for the hot summer time because the chefs will add ice into the soup together with crispy cucumbers, pears, and turnips, before serving so as to make it cool enough to relieve the summer heat.

Gonghwachun

Gonghwachun, a four-storey restaurant located in the Incheon Chinatown, is famous for the traditional Korean jajangmyun (noodles with black bean sauce), which is a popular dish invented in the Incheon Chinatown. Gonghwachun is a Chinese-style restaurant with red lanterns and fai chun put up as decorations. However, they serve authentic Korean-style cuisine, including noodles, dumplings, buns and several set meals. It is noteworthy that their budget set meals are worth trying – there’s an eight-course set in which each course is petite but delicious.

Sikgaek

Sikgaek offers diners with authentic han-u (Korean native cattle) which is tasty, juicy, and fresh. Their dishes are all brilliant, for example the selleongtang (ox bone soup) is incredibly sweet and nutritious, while the yook hwe (raw beef salad) is fresh and savory. They also offer free side dishes as appetizers, such as kimchi (fermented cabbage), oi sobaegi (cucumber kimchi), kaktygi (radish cube kimchi), and dongchimi (white radish kimchi), which are appetizing.

Wonjo Sinpo Dakgangjeong

Located in the Sinpo International MarketWonjo Sinpo Dakgangjeong is one of the most popular restaurants in Incheon. They serve traditional dakgangjeong (deep-fried chicken). Although they only provide diners with two kinds of dakgangjeong: sinpo chicken gangjeong and sinpo fried chicken, many locals and tourists still love going there. The venue is tiny but homely. The staff doesn’t speak fluent English but everyone is hospitable and welcoming and they are willing to answer your questions or make a recommendation for you.

Qing Guan

Located in the Incheon Chinatown, Qing Guan is a fine restaurant providing orthodox Sichuan-style cuisine, such as the deep-fried prawns with sweet and sour sauce, soup with rice crust and three delicacies, as well as some fresh seafood dishes. Most of their dishes are hot, but diners can request staff to make their food less spicy. The slightly spicy seafood is just the best complement to the chewy and glutinous Korean rice. Chapter 1

Chapter 1 serves diners with authentic Italian dishes, such as pastas, pizzas, salads, and grilled food. Their food is is very fine and pleasant, as the chef de cuisine, who graduated from Le Courdon Bleu, cares deeply about the flavor, as well as the presentation of food. All dishes, especially their brilliant desserts, are like artworks, being very decent with lovely side dishes put out as decorations. Although there is no open kitchen, you can still observe the cooking process as they will broadcast the chefs while they are cooking.
